The Opti-set started life as an in-house project to reduce the set up time of our high speed tapper / milling machines. We tried the existing solutions but found that they were either prohibitually expensive or cheap solid stop switches that could easily break expensive carbide cutters.

So we designed the Opti-set to fill the gap. The result is a high quality robust tool that will accurately and quickly set up CNC machines with no risk to the tooling.

• So easy to use - just place on datum surface. jog tool fast until red LED lights, then back up slowly until green LED illuminates.

• The unit uses OPTO electronic sensing so there is no need to worry about a solid stop breaking tooling. The unit can over travel the trigger point by 2mm.

• High accuracy - the unit is calibrated to trigger within 8 microns and because of the state of the art OPTO trigger system repeatability is second to none.
